My Photo

Welcome to my homepage! I am an assistant professor of economics at the University of Nebraskat at Omaha.

After earning my Ph.D. in Economics from Kansas State University in 2012, I began my academic career with full-time faculty positions at Colgate University (2012–2015), Sam Houston State University (2015–2020), and the University of Nebraska at Omaha (2021–2022).

In the summer of 2022, I left academia and worked as a senior data scientist at Zeenk, a statistical analyst at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, and most recently, a quantitative analyst at Farm Credit Services of America.

I have returned to UNO as an assistant professor of economics, where my research focuses on applied microeconomics, including conflict theory and the Chinese economy. I am also interested in exploring behavioral economics and machine learning, and I enjoy engaging students in research projects.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing music, and making ceramic ocarinas.
